I've been wanting to draw a manga version of Serenity for the longest time, so I finally got the chance!
I actually have a fully rendered piece that I'm working on with this, but I vectorized the line art to make it a little more crisp. I liked how it looked as this, so I decided to upload it.
This is very nice. I like the movement of the hair. I have one little thing that I feel makes it a little odd. The beads on her dress are in front of her staff. Other then that she looks awesome. Sorry if I sound nit picky. I just know that I'd appreciate someone telling me if something was off. >.>
Ah, thanks for pointing that out! That's something I had been telling myself to fix while I was working on it, then I totally spaced it! I'll get that fixed when I get the chance.
Thanks! I sketched it out in Photoshop and then vectored it in Illustrator.
They're going good! I've got some pretty easy classes semester, which is nice because the last year and a half have been from hell. I have a screenwriting class and a script supervising class, both which I adore, and my math professor is one of the leaders from the campus club I attend! How about you? How are your classes?
Oooooh cool! I only have Photoshop and I have no idea how to bloody use it >.<
I'm glad you're enjoying your classes! Script supervising seems really interesting! Mine are going well, I'm taking Music Video Production and Working in the Film and TV Industry on top of my Gen Eds, but it's going well! I just have to try to balance everything with work, which is a bit of a struggle. Two jobs+full time school schedule+additional production projects= Sleepy Sleepy Fencergirl lol
Oh how is that Music Video Production class? It's always interested me. And yeah, I totally get ya. I work part-time at a theater that's open until midnight, and I'm a full times student as well, and I have two majors on top of it (film and graphic design).
Hey, do you have any breaks? Maybe we could meet up for lunch or something? I'm usually out of my classes by 11:15, except for on Mondays, I'm done at 2:30 but I leave for work after that.
It's... interesting. There's far more work involved than I thought, and honestly much more than I care to do. I want to go out and shoot, not deal with endless reams of paperwork lol. Wow you really have your plate full!!
I have a break Monday and Wednesday at 2:30, but I'm off all day Tuesday and Friday. I would love to meet up for lunch!
Also, how are your classes going?
